Executive Director

The Covered Bridge Festival is looking for an Executive Director. The person must be organized, good with people, able to do fundraising, know how to write grants (or be willing to learn). Preferred candidate will know and love the Festival and be able to continue the mission. A retired person who doesn’t need a full paycheck would be a great fit.

Duties include running the office, checking mail and email and web store (fulfilling orders), talking to the media, speaking engagements, preparing the agenda for monthly board meetings, handling sponsorships, working with the treasurer to do taxes and yearly charitable registration, updating forms, sending out contracts, work with souvenir chair to create and order souvenirs, organize the festival and bridge chairs at each bridge, etc.

The current and outgoing Executive Director is willing to help this person as much as possible for the first year to learn the job and help with grantwriting.
